When they talk of a “feasibility study” I wonder if they intend to publish and/or discuss the entire LAFD budget which would also include the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report? By that question I mean do they intend to ‘study’ not only LAFD’s future debits but are they also intending to include in their ‘study’ a summary of LAFD’s current and projected assets account? Yes, there are assets in every agency.
It is widely believed that the trend for all agencies of government has been to publish how much the public owes and why more taxes are required to continue paying the bills; this data is formulated from the debit account. But, the agencies NEVER include in their reports a complete summary of that agency’s assets account. Therein is how we are annually tricked into believing we need more taxes when in fact that may not be the full truth of the matter at all.
