The Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce announced today that legendary performer and guitar great Jose Feliciano will perform at Lehigh Acres' first ever Latin Music Fest, VIVA! Lehigh Acres.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 24, from 4 p.m. 10 p.m. at Veterans Park at 55 Homestead Road South in Lehigh
Headlining the event is Grammy award winning artist, Jose Feliciano. This crossover superstar is one of the most talented musical artists of our era. Critics have dubbed him "the world's greatest living guitarist."
With hits like "Light my Fire" and "Feliz Navidad"; Feliciano has won numerous honors including 16 Grammy nominations and eight Grammy Awards. He has appeared before audiences around the world performing a repertoire that includes pop, rock, soul, jazz, and classical - in English, Spanish and Italian - making him a true renaissance man of music.
Recently he took part in the historic recording of the Spanish Language version of "We are the World" for Haiti relief.
"We are honored to have him join us for this event. Jose Feliciano's' involvement in VIVA! Lehigh Acres takes this event to another level," said Jose F. Morillo, chairman of the Lehigh Chamber and president/CEO of Lehigh Regional Medical Center .

Admission is free. A $3 parking donation will benefit the Lehigh Acres Community Services.
"Jose is the X factor," Morillo added.
Bringing together music great Feliciano and internationally recognized orchestra Puerto Rican Power, along with Batey Latin Jazz, SWFL Fuego Latino and Danza Azteca Gudalupana, will provide the Southwest Florida community with an absolutely incredible evening, they won't want to miss, Morillo said.
To make the great even greater, the event is free to the public.
VIVA! Lehigh Acres Latin Music Fest will bring together the Lehigh Acres community as well as residents from throughout Southwest Florida to enjoy a fun filled day full of a variety of Latin food from different Latin-American countries, Latin music with sensational performers in addition to cultural merchandise, and lots of family activities like: arts and crafts, bounce houses, an obstacle course, pony rides, a petting zoo, games, rock climber, and lots of giveaways.
