The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) is joining private and public water utilities, environmental advocates and others in commemorating National Drinking Water Week, May 3 10, 2010. The annual event provides opportunities for sharing information on the importance of water in the daily lives of those in the community.
As part of this year's theme, "Only Tap Water Delivers," FGUA will provide handouts for children and adults, created by the American Water Works Association and governmental organizations, focusing on drinking water quality, water safety and conservation as well as the significance of water infrastructure, which will be available at the FGUA Customer Services Office in Pasco County, Lehigh Acres, Golden Gate, and the operations office in Longwood, Florida.
