Howl Gallery presents the art of Chris Lacoste

By Staff | Sep 28, 2010

HOWL Gallery presents the Art of Chris Lacoste, in his debut solo exhibition. Chris is a local high school senior in Fort Myers that creates highly detailed and colorful art with pen and ink.

His work features bold compositions of brightly colored characters and imaginative pop art landscapes. Chris’s highly developed style could easily pass as that of an established mid-career gallery artist due to its consistent vision and execution.

In 2009, his ketchup packet design won First Place in the Heinz Ketchup Creativity Contest.

Born in Annapolis, Maryland, Chris has since lived in Boston, Puerto Rico, and Tampa. He currently lives in Cape Coral and is a senior at North Fort Myers High School.

Art collectors familiar with Takashi Murakami and Lisa Frank will thoroughly enjoy this debut show by a local art prodigy. The show will feature nearly 2 dozen original works, including sculpture and original framed art for sale.

Opening reception will be held October 1 in conjunction with Fort Myers Art Walk Day, the two-year anniversary of the downtown Fort Myers Art Walk, from 6-10 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. The reception will also feature live music by Cosmic Mountain on the HOWL back patio from 8-10 p.m. Show continues through October.

HOWL Gallery/Tattoo is a hybrid art gallery that brings together the best in contemporary pop art from around the world with a custom tattoo studio and retail art store.
