Another music group has agreed to perform at the Lehigh Acres Spring Festival which runs from March 18 -26.
They are The New Stones, a Tampa based group that plays tribute to the Rolling Stones.
"The New Stones will be performing on Friday March 25 at 8:30 p.m. This should be a great show," said Debbie Jackson, a member of the Lehigh Acres Spring Festival committee.
She said the group features several songs including all the Rolling Stones hits.
There is everything from the old classics, such as Satisfaction, Brown Sugar, Paint it Black and Ruby Tuesday and more recent hits including Miss You and Start Me up and Shine a Light.
Jackson said the group is comprised of a seven-piece band and from what she has heard, look like the real Rolling Stones.
Their promotions material state that audiences make you think you were at an actual Rolling Stones concert. It's a high energy show performed by Richard Stewart as Mick Jagger.
The New Stones brings the number of concerts to four concerts on the outside stage at Veterans Park. Times are listed in the schedule of events being published by The Citizen.
Jackson noted that the Nowhere Band, which will pay tribute to the Beatles has been moved to another night.
The Festival begins Friday night, March 18 with events planned for nine days culminating with a parade on March 26 and a full day of activities at Veterans Park. There is a $3 cost to get into the park where there is ample parking. The money for parking is divided up with the Lehigh Soccer League and the Festival Committee which pays for the big name entertainment.
Much of the money comes from local businesses that act as sponsors for the event.
