Schaller earns lab supervisors’ license

Marcy Schaller of Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida has successfully completed the requirements to earn her Lab Supervisor’s License from the Florida Department of Health – Division of Medical Quality Assurance.

Schaller works for Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida at the Cape Coral laboratory at 1265 Viscaya Parkway in Cape Coral, which serves the laboratory needs of all 10 offices of Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida, including Lehigh Acres.

Schaller joined Physicians’ Primary Care in 2008 after attaining more than 30 year’s experience as a laboratory medical professional. She is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) with licensure in chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, microbiology, and serology.

Prior to joining PPC, Schaller worked as a general technologist for HealthPark Medical Center and Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers. She also has worked as a chemistry technologist for Winter Haven Hospital Clinical Laboratory and for St. Catherine’s Hospital Clinic Laboratory in Kenosha, Wisc.

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida, a physician-owned and operated medical practice, was formed in 1996 by many long practicing local physicians and has grown to become the largest independent multi-specialty practice in Southwest Florida with more than 50 physicians.

Medical specialties include internal medicine, family practice, obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics. Ten offices are located in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Lehigh Acres.
