To The Editor:
As Memorial Day approaches, let us all remember that freedom is not free.
Our men and women in uniform have given so much recently. From our Armed Forces abroad, to our law enforcement officers here at home, uniformed service
members accepted the daunting task to keep our freedoms protected – even if
it is the last thing they ever do.
Please take a moment and thank those who serve.
Ronald Reagan said it best when he said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on to them to do the same."
