Nonstop service between Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Aalborg (AAL), Denmark began on June 21 and runs for five weeks
ending on July 19, 2011.
The flights will be operated once a week on Tuesday by the Scandinavian tour operator, Comefly, between Fort Myers and Aalborg, airport officials said.
This will be the first time RSW has offered nonstop service to Scandinavia and will be the only nonstop flight between Aalborg and the U.S.
The Denmark service will be provided by Monarch Airlines utilizing an A330 aircraft with a two-class configuration of 358 seats. Monarch is one of the United Kingdom’s major providers of low-cost scheduled flights, but also is a key supplier of aircraft and seats to the tour operating industry.
