To The Editor:
The following letter was sent by me, State Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto, to Lee County Commissioner Frank Mann:
"I am writing today on behalf of the Lehigh Acres Economic Development Board (LAEDB) to express support of this partnership. I believe the LAEDB will meet the region's need to create a business climate that will attract new industries to the area, and leverage existing resources to help broaden the community's self-sufficiency and self-sustainability.
"The development of a stronger community alliance (LAEDB) will offer immediate and long-term benefits to Lehigh Acres. By creating a clear, comprehensive, and collaborative strategic plan that guides job and business retention, industry attraction, and vocational opportunities for our community this will result in a sustainable economy. This is the ultimate goal in creating a path to a better quality of life for current and future residents.
"Lehigh Acres has the potential to offer a marketplace that is diverse and limitless to entrepreneurs. Through the strategic development of targeted industries and economic clusters, the LAEDB will help foster an economic climate ready for growth and development. With an available and educated workforce, Lehigh Acres is ready to capitalize on an economic recovery.
"LAEDB will become the catalyst for development of these ideas and services. Lehigh Acres offers a value proposition that is unrivaled in our region. I look forward to a partnership emerging with LAEDB and Lee County. If I can be of further assistance or a partner in success, I hope you will reach out to me to help accomplish our shared vision for our community."
