American Legion Auxiliary 323 will hold its annual POW/MIA Ceremony and table re-dedication Sept. 16 at 6 p.m.
The ceremony will revisit the Vietnam War, the number of causalities and the number of soldiers still unaccounted for. They will also re-set the table, telling what each items put on the table means. This will be a meaningful ceremony for young and old. The public is invited. Alcoholic beverages will only be served to members and their guests. There will be a potluck dinner following. Bring something to share.
'Steak Out' planned at Legion on Sept. 17
The American Legion Post 323 will hold its first "Steak Out" of the year Sept. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m.. The dinner will consist of New York Strip, Baked Potato, Salad, coffee or tea. Cost $12 and is open to the public. Only members and their guests will be served alcohol. Then stay and sing along with Ray "Bouncer" Leventhal starting at 7:30 p.m. The proceeds of the dinner will go to the Post Building Fund. There are still a lot of renovation to do and so many members have come forward and given to this fund.
