To The Editor:
Florida Gov. Rick Scott, our rule-breaking governor, waffles on whether or not he is for or against oil drilling. Just several weeks ago Scott was against oil drilling, then one week later he said he could consider drilling in the Everglades. Does that include adding the ugly structures of oil wells? I think not. (Remember, Michele Malkin thinks we should drill in the Everglades, too.)
We Floridians have a real leader in U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson. As a Member of Congress, Nelson fought successfully to stop oil drilling off of Florida's coasts because potential oil spills would kill Florida's main industry - tourism.
Sen. Bill Nelson favors solving the energy crisis with natural gas as a big part of the solution. His position is that he favors natural gas exploration and drilling of huge deposits in the U.S., which can go a long way toward solving our energy needs.
