Popular book retailer Books-A-Million has opened its doors at Edison Mall and plans a grand opening celebration on Saturday, Oct. 8. The retailer now occupies a 12,000-square-foot space, and features the newest concept in sweets Yogurt Mountain.
Books-A-Million is the second largest book retailer in the nation, offering a wide selection of books, music, toys, electronics and more.
The location at Edison Mall also features Yogurt Mountain, the premier self-serve frozen yogurt bar, where predetermined portions are no longer on the menu. Soft serve fanatics can choose from a variety of yogurt, sorbet, and tart flavors and toppings that range from hot fudge to Captain Crunch and everything in between.
"We are excited to welcome Books-A-Million and Yogurt Mountain to Edison Mall," said Robert Edelen, mall manager. "The addition of these retailers further demonstrates our commitment to providing shoppers with a vast array of retail and dining options."
Books-A-Million is located near the main entrance of the mall off of Cleveland Ave.
Edison Mall, anchored by Macy's, Dillard's, JC Penney and Sears, now features updated tile floors, soft seating areas, a fountain renovation, and other special touches to enhance the shopping experience, officials there said. Edison Mall has more than 160 specialty shops, including Bath & Body Works, New York & Company, Yankee Candle, Victoria's Secret, Aeropostale, American Eagle, and Ann Taylor Loft.
More recent store additions include Fuzziwig's Candy, Sunsights Sunglass Boutique, Man Alive, Bijou Brigitte, G by Guess, Solstice, Lush Cosmetics, Skechers, Frederick's of Hollywood, and Coach. There are restaurants such as Elephant Bar and Silver Spoons.
