To The Editor:
Now is the time to put Lehigh Acres first. The people are boarding the train. The train is laying tracks with a destination. There is no stopping the train this time. The people demand the county provide funds for the retrospective analysis requested at the last county budget meeting. We thank the commissioners for the money appropriated for the downtown Lehigh Plan and the Lee Plan involving Lehigh Acres. This community deserves its fair share of tax money given to Lee County, which is less than 1 percent of over a billion dollars in the last 10 years. The various organizations in Lehigh Acres deserve the recognition for which they have diligently served for many years. There is a move on to increase voter registration in Lehigh Acres and it will decide the fate of elected officials.
Looking forward to getting the word out to all of Lehigh Acres' 80,000 residents, and looking forward to the county commissioners awarding the money requested by the residents of Lehigh Acres for the retrospective study and more. Our community is blighted and the residents want to see it cleaned up. Now is the time to put Lehigh Acres first.
