Learning music opens up the mind and allows a student to use their whole brain. Students who participate in musical activities have shown that they have higher test scores and exhibit better behavior while in school.

Performing in a school music ensemble is fun and challenging and encourages creativity while instilling self-discipline. Learning music also develops "spatial IQ," which helps students tackle the challenges of other subjects, such as math and science.

A free concert by the All-County Middle & High School Honor Choir is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, October 29at Lehigh Senior High School in the auditorium. The public is invited to attend to see the county's best and brightest choir students perform.

The All-County Choir concert is a culmination of several rehearsals where Lee County's finest and most talented vocal students have been brought together to learn more advanced techniques for choral performance.
