CAIT told to direct efforts in a more positive way

November 9, 2011
Lehigh Acres Citizen

To The Editor:

My thanks go to Frank Lohlein for his e-mail letter and comments on Lehighacrescitizen.com. I always enjoy hearing from him. Looking at the figures in the e-mail, which he says are from Mike Welch, looks like Lehigh got too much money and should give some back, which I guess means "increased taxes"?

I think the members of his CAIT will be asking his resignation from their club. Facts and opinions don't always equal truth.

Mark Twain once said, "Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please." That statement is priceless regarding your e-mail opinion letter and the information you are using.

We do appreciate all that our Lee County commissioners have done and are doing for Lehigh Acres and the fact that they recognize our needs, which you, Mr. Lohlein, are obviously overlooking. Many groups and organizations are coming together to promote the welfare and future of Lehigh Acres.

Too bad Mr. Lohlein wastes his time and energy trying to tear down their efforts by providing misinformation. Why not try to direct your efforts in a more positive way?
