The NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament committee Monday night selected UCF as the first-round tournament opponent for Atlantic Sun Conference champion FGCU.
The Eagles (11-5-2) travel to Orlando to face the Knights at 7 p.m. Thursday.
FGCU and UCF are facing each other for the second time this season. The Eagles defeated the Knights 2-1 on Sept. 24. The winner of Thursday's matchup advances to face seventh-seeded USF at 6 p.m. Sunday in Tampa.
The Eagles are the second FGCU team in as many weeks to reach the NCAA tournament. Just a week ago, the women's program won the A-Sun Tournament title as the No. 1 seed, just the fourth time in A-Sun history both a men's and women's team from the same school have won the postseason tournament.
Women's Soccer: The Florida Gators knocked the Eagles out of the NCAA Tournament 3-0 in the first-round Saturday night in Gainesville.
The Eagles finish the season 14-5-2 and the program's first A-Sun tournament championship. The women's team became the first team in school history to play in an NCAA tournament game in Division 1.
In the 16th minute, Florida broke though off a cross from Erika Tymrak that found teammate Tahnai Annis who headed it into the net.
The Gators scored again in the 68th minute on a free kick ball that Anis again headed in the net. Lindsay Thompson pushed the Gators lead to 3-0 12 minutes later with the team's third header goal.
Eagles senior goalkeeper Stephanie Powers finished with three saves in her final game at FGCU.
