To The Editor:
Lehigh Acres mourns not only an elected official, but a champion for smaller government. Commissioner's Shea's leadership in examining cost effective budgeting has helped make government work more effectively for the people of Lehigh Acres.
While we both did not always agree with this politics nor his tactics, his passion for smaller, simpler government will be remembered. Commissioner Shea's hard work and dedication to the cause of fixing the Fire and Rescue District was for the good of the department and community and the cause must continue. Our prayers go out to his family and friends tonight on behalf of our family.
