The Lehigh Senior High School Center for the Arts JROTC Raider team qualified two teams for the State Raider Competition on December 10, according to Principal Jeff Spiro.

This competition will be held at Camp Flaming Arrow in Lake Wales, Fla. It consists of five events: 5k team run, 1 mile cross country rescue, one rope bridge, fitness test and an academic test.

Lehigh's mixed team, commanded by Aaron Cortez, and Jose Lezama and Lehigh's female team, commanded by Jeanette Torres and Renata Da Silva, both placed second in the Lee County qualifying meet to qualify for this state competition, Spirio said.

This is the second time that Lehigh has qualified for the State Competition.

Aarin Cortez, the overall Raider Team commander said he "is very excited to represent Lehigh at States again. We hopefully will bring home some trophies again this year."
