Once again, the Cape Coral Seahawks were victimized by too many turnovers and an inability to knock down crucial free throws which led to a 68-64 home floor loss to Palmetto Ridge Thursday night.

By contrast, the Bears were nearly perfect at the free throw line, sinking 21-of-25 at one point before missing their last three. The Seahawks made just 8-of-12.

Senior Anthony Almeida led the Seahawks with 24 points and six rebounds. David Flynn added 12 while Chase Galuzny and Brandon Marshall chipped in with 10 points apiece.

"We had a chance down three in the final seconds, but missed a three-pointer," said Seahawks coach Darrin Wallace. We continue to miss free throws and turn the ball over too many times."

The Seahawks (4-4) play at Island Coast Friday night.
