The Off Broadway Palm Theatre presents Squabbles playing from now through March 3. Think Archie Bunker meets Maude in this laugh-out-loud play that pits a father-in-law against a mother in a comedic succession of Squabbles.
Jerry Sloan is a successful writer of advertising jingles married to an equally successful lawyer. Living with the happy couple is the not so happy Abe Dreyfus, Jerry's curmudgeon of a father in law. Abe is a funny guy to the audience, but not to Jerry. The situation is intensified when Jerry's mother Mildred needs a place to stay. Abe and Mildred can't stand each other.
Squabbles is directed by Broadway Palm's very own funny-man, Paul Bernier. The cast includes Broadway Palm's Resident Choreographer, Amy Marie McCleary, who is making her first appearance onstage since her recent hip replacement. You'll also see Broadway Palm alumni Jayar Garcia, Kate Francis, Nancy Antonio and newcomers Kathryn Cintron, Craig Smith and Robert Summers.
The Off Broadway Palm Theatre is an intimate 98-seat general admission theatre, located in the main lobby of Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre. With no seat further than 25 feet away from the stage, you become part of the show.
