To The Editor:
I am concerned about health care, poverty, and free market capitalism, etc. We as seniors work hard and hope that our children can succeed. Yet we see economic security slipping from our grasp or passing us by. Most of us are in the 99 percent. If we are not now, within our lifetime we stand a great risk of slipping into poverty. Most of us are just one accident or illness from crisis.
High tax, high income pressure, inflation changing interest rates make our wealth less valuable. We are worried and struggling to stay up. I ask you, can you afford to lose Social Security, Medicare, and protection of a government that will not allow consumer protection, financial reform, and other economic securities to be taken away?
if your answer is no, then you cannot afford to vote Republican. The wealth gap will continue to increase if Republicans win this election, so you had better be rich.
Social Security is in jeopardy, Medicare will be replaced by a subsidy to insurance premiums and premiums will rise.
