Lehigh Acres Citizen

Lehigh Acres Little League Baseball and Softball will be holding its 2012 Opening Day on Saturday, Feb. 18.

Over 500 boys and girls from Lehigh Acres between the ages of 4 and 16 will be playing on 40 different teams on five different fields. Games will be played though out the day with the first starting at 8 a.m. and the final games starting at 4 p.m. Minnesota Twins Play by Play Broadcaster, John Gordon will be on hand to through out the first ball.

There will be several bounce houses, water rides and other activities for all to enjoy, as well as a complete low priced food stand. It will be a Fun Family Day for everyone. The community is invited to join in on the fun and help support all of our local boys and girls.

Admission and parking is free. This years program is bigger than ever with more boys and girls taking part. Little League has been apart of the Lehigh sports scene for over fifty years and it continues to grow. Many of the players have gone on to play at higher levels.

This will be an enjoyable activity you can take part in and enjoy with your entire family. There will be no smoking or adult beverages in use. Once you experience the Little League atmosphere you will return again and again.
