To the Editor:

A funny thing happened on the way to sell some insurance - I met the most amazing family and life was changed forever. Long story short, Marcus' wife was ill, they needed a miracle, a friend of theirs knew me, I found one with United Healthcare - fast forward, tragically my dearest friend Michaela eventually passed from cervical cancer at age 37; however, I made her a promise to watch over her family while she watched over all of us from above and that's how we arrived at this email a year later.

Last Friday night was an incredibly special event for our area. World acclaimed artist Marcus Jansen (Lehigh Acres resident and one of my best friends) has opened a state of the art, 7000 square feet gallery in Fort Myers to house his private collection as well as display his works for sale.

It has been an amazing few months of late nights and weekends preparing for this opening but it is all going to be worth it when you see it. Words truly cannot describe the final outcome. He is the most popular urban expressionist artist in the world at this time.

He recently was commissioned by Absolut Vodka for follow in the footsteps of Warhol and many other master painters in the design of this year's campaign, Absolut Blank. Also, he was commissioned to paint the perfume bottle that Princess Kate wore in the Royal Wedding (he will showing those in London with her this summer), all of which you can view now in Fort Myers.

This family, now Marcus and sons Elias, 8, and Dominic , 5, have had two years of tragedy befall upon them and no one deserves more happiness to come into their world than they do.
