Open Doors Preschool dedication to teaching children in their early years would like to public thank Flagler Construction Equipment of Fort Myers for their support contributing to this goal. Students at Open Doors Preschool in Lehigh have been exploring their March theme Things We Can Build.
It is important that child care centers provided a successful learning environment that supports the local families of Lehigh, by providing quality child care that encourages early childhood development. For the month of March teachers provided a curriculum that supports developmental learning for age's birth to 12 years. Children are involved in activities that promote Literacy, Math, Science, Art, and Social Studies.
The (Approach Play with Purposes) is used in creating our learning environment. Teachers used the materials donated by Flagler Construction Equipment to implement activities to promote the children's development of Literacy, Math, Art, and Social Studies.
Donated magazines about construction equipment and their use where used in several ways. Pictures from the magazines made construction equipment puzzles for cognitive development. Dictations were also made using these pictures of, skid steer loaders, wheel loaders, and backhoes. Students created books using pictures from the magazines and drawling their own. The dictations and books helped students learn pre reading and writing skills. Science and aArt where promoted through using shapes to make construction equipment. Social Studies were encouraged by teachers and students exploring how the equipment was used to build the dwellings in our community.
The teachers, students, and families at Open Doors Preschool appreciate Flagler Construction equipment of Fort Myers for their support in helping to educate our future generation. The materials that were company donated shows that Flagler Construction is truly invested in the education of Lee County Future citizens.
