Herman Liddle 89, of Lehigh Acres, formerly of Morgantown, W. Va., died April 14, 2012.
He was born February 22, 1923 in Worth, W. Va., to the late John and Thelma (Harman) Liddle.
Liddle was a veteran of WWII, having served with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He retired from the mining industry as a supervisor after 27 years of service, having been employed with Arkwright, Blacksville and Humphrey Coal Mines. He was a member of Elks Lodge 2602 Lehigh Acres, and Admiral Lehigh Golf Resort.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Marie on July 29, 1995; five brothers, and two sisters.
Surviving are four sons, Gerald of Lehigh Acres, Allan, William, and Steven, all of Morgantown, W.Va.; one sister, Elizabeth Tazwell of Virginia, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be held in Morgantown, W.Va.
