Ronald Petersohn, Lehigh Acres, 74, died on Saturday, April 21, 2012.
He was born in Sheboygan, Wisc., and served in the U.S. Airforce for 21 years. He lived a very full life and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and a friend to many, who was always there to help others with a smile, his family said.
Petersohn leaves behind a wife, Adele of 55 years; son, Mark (Janice) and grandson, Sean; daughter, Michele (Mike) and grandson, Logan; and his youngest son, David.
He is also survived by his sisters, Deloras (Harold), Gloria (Charlie), Barbara (Jim); and brother, Eugene (Viv); Daniel (Mary) of Naples,; Leonard (Sally), Rita, Jean, and Claude (Lise) of Vermont.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Irene Petersohn.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, beginning at 1 p.m., with a memorial service and military honors to follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. For more information, (239)334-4880.
