To the Editor:
I am totally disgusted with Pat Boone's commercial for PAC 60 Plus Association. It is pure slime. This could be considered "free speech" but it is slanderously negative to both President Obama and Florida U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson.
It seems to be the voice of radical right which speaks for one percent of America.
The commercial is without empathy for the 99 percent. It is perfectly against those who are uninsured who may benefit from the Affordable Care Act.
For Pat Boone to attach his good name to such an outright lie does him no credit and destroys his good image.
People who have taken the time to read the bill would like to suggest that Pat Boone do the same.
The industrial countries in the world all have universal variations of health care.
This coverage gives the above countries a competitive edge in the world's marketplace. If the U.S. is ever to restore its manufacturing base, we must help our employers to be truly competitive.
I can sincerely hope this is not just a beginning of this $3.5 campaign but an end to its vicious goal. Lies, lies, and more lies.
