The Surgical Services Department at Lehigh Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that the new surgical and endoscopy suite is now complete and functional.
Physicians and surgeons are very enthusiastic about the large, state-of-the-art, formal operating room. Dr. David Gutstein, a gastroenterologist, recently commented on the new suite, where he has already performed procedures and surgeries.
"This brand new, large surgical suite has the absolute state-of-the-art, and the highly trained nurses and technicians, who exceed qualifications, some with over 10 years of experience, make this hospital the one of choice for me for all endoscopic procedures and surgeries," he said.
In addition, the high-definition resolution Olympus scopes for physicians performing EGDs and colonoscopy procedures are now available.
The scopes include many new advanced features, such as narrow band imagery, close focus viewing, and Innoflex one-quarter variable stiffness to facilitate the insertion of the scope throughout the colon.
Lehigh Regional is constantly striving to provide the physicians and the community with improved and advanced services to ensure the best quality care for the patients.
"This administration is fully committed to providing the community with great service and care", Gutstein said. "They have also given the physicians their full support by ensuring that the latest technologies for endoscopic procedures and surgeries are available in the OR."
