Laura H. Wilson, 91, of Lehigh Acres, died Monday, June 4, 2012, at Fort Myers Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 28, 1921, in Sandisfield, Mass., to Frank and Mary Hryckvich.
She graduated from Lee High School in Lee, Mass., and from Pratt Institute Business School in New York City. While living in Manhattan, she met and married Kenneth Wilson on June 28, 1941.
They moved to New Jersey, where she retired as a department manager for Citizens Bank. They moved to Lehigh Acres in 1983.
She was member of the Eastern Star for more than 60 years. She and her husband enjoyed playing golf, traveling around the country with their clubs. She was an excellent senior team golfer, scoring a hole-in-one at the Admiral Lehigh Golf Resort on Sept 6, 1997.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Roger) Ludin of California; grandchildren, Joyce Warren and Stephen Ludin; great-grandchildren, Tomas and Liam Ludin and Ryenne and Mikayla Warren; sister, Ann Connor of Lehigh Acres; brothers, Nick and Alex Hryckvich; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service was held Friday, June 8, 2012, at St. Anselm's Episcopal Church, at 2201 Sixth St., Lehigh Acres.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anselm's or the American Cancer Society.
