Search warrant yields gun, drugs

The Lee County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on Wednesday, June 20, at 6940 Westwood Acres Road in Fort Myers.

The search warrant was obtained following an investigation into a resident who had reportedly distributed large quantities of marijuana.

Detectives had purchased 1.2 pounds of marijuana from Jermaine Lewis, 36, 6940 Westwood Acres Road, Fort Myers, earlier in the month and made plans for future purchases.

An execution of the search warrant led to the seizure of an AR-15 rifle that was stolen from a vehicle in 2010, two short barrel rifles, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and 2.5 pounds of high-grade marijuana.

During the search, detectives discovered multiple vehicles and various car parts on the property. Detectives from the LCSO's Grand Theft Auto Unit were called to the scene and the vehicles and vehicle parts were confirmed to be stolen.

The investigation into the stolen vehicles is ongoing. officials said.

Lewis was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana over 20 grams, sale of marijuana and conspiring to sell marijuana.

Others arrested during the incident include:

- Teressa Lewis, 50, of 6940 Westwood Acres Road, Fort Myers, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana over 20 grams

- Joe Loredo, 26, of 5315 Butte St., Lehigh Acres, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 20 grams.
