Monserrate Rodriguez Irizarry, 75, of Lehigh Acres, died Monday, July 30, 2012, with her family by her side. She was born Dec. 25, 1936, in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Juan Jose Irizarry and Anasaria Caraballo.

She had a happy childhood, greatly enjoying her early days and the closeness of her family. It was with both excitement and sadness that she moved stateside in 1960. She looked forward to new opportunities but always missed her homeland, family and friends.

She married Jose Adelis Rodriguez and had four children.

She is survived by her children, Magaly Rodriguez Morales, Adele Joe Rodriguez and Sandro Rodriguez; daughters-in-law, Luz Rodriguez and Amalia Rodriguez; brother, Milton Irizarry; sister, Daisy Irizarry; grandchildren, Jose Manuel Rodriguez Jr., Carlos Javier Rodriguez, Tamara Rodriguez, Natalie Rodriguez, Jeanette Rodriguez, Jayrali Yvette Morales, Juan Antonio Morales Jr., Cynthiali Monserrate Morales, Adele Joe Rodriguez, Jiset Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Brian Rodriguez, Alexsandro Rodriguez and Geraldo Rodriguez; and great-grandchildren, Jose Manuel Rodriguez, Karla M. Rodriguez, Janelley Derenger, Lana Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez and Ivan Echevaria.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Jose Manuel Rodriguez; and 10 siblings.

Family members would like to express their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to every relative and friend who personally took time to show their love and support. Very special appreciation is extended to Doris Irizarry for the countless hours and great love she showed for her during her illness.

A visitation with life tribute and memorial service was celebrated Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, in the chapel at Anderson-Patterson Cremation and Funeral Services.
