If you live anywhere in Lehigh or surrounding areas, you are invited to attend The Expo, which is put on by the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce and Inke Baker, the chamber's assistant executive director, says there will be somewhere around 50 vendors and The Expo is free and open to all ages.

The date is September 15 and it all begins at 10 a.m.

For the children, Baker said there will be an outside bounce house and refreshments for the kids. Many vendors will also be offering refreshments.

The third annual Expo is being held in the building adjacent to the Chamber's Welcome Center and Offices at 25 Homestead Rd. and outside, in front of the Chamber's office, which is a large enclosed shaded area. The Chamber's Expo is in the Lehigh Towne Center and there is plenty of parking for all in front and in the back.

She said exhibitors from a wide variety of businesses and organizations will be there to offer and show their latest in products and services. Some of those who will have displays include home improvement, financial services, health providers, crafts, arts, recreation, lawn and garden, education and many more displays.

"The vendors will be offering 'give-away' items at their separate booths and overall, there will be drawings and raffles from the vendors and the Chamber throughout the day.

"We had our last Expo in the spring of 2011. We had a good turnout and we expect this one to be even larger. The people of Lehigh enjoy seeing what Lehigh merchants and others have to provide to the community at an expo like this," she said.

There's still time to become a vendor for a nominal fee, Baker said. Those interested businesses should call the Chamber at 369-3322.

"This is one of the highlights of the year that both vendors and the visiting public can enjoy themselves, meet old friend and renew friendships. It's a family-oriented affair," she said.

Steve Thomas is the Chamber's event chairman and he and his committee are working hard to make The Expo a successful and fun event for all who attend.

Flyers throughout the community are billing The Expo as "a world full of ideas and information." And then there is a large illustration of the earth with four pairs of hands holding up the world.

"You and Your World" symbolizes the exhibition at Lehigh and it offers exhibitors and visitors an attractive forum. It is a sales and information expo with activities for the whole family.

"Don't forget it is on a Saturday and it begins at 10 a.m. and continues to 4 p.m. It's going to be a really nice affair for the Chamber, the vendors and especially the visitors from all over Lehigh and the surrounding area," she said.

Inke suggests that if vendors or exhibitors want more information, they should call the Chamber or e-mail them at: info@LehighAcresChamber.org.
