Two teens have been arrested and charged in connection to a recent robbery at a gas station in Lehigh Acres.

During the course of an investigation, detectives determined two people were responsible for a robbery at the Marathon Gas Station, at 1490 Lee Blvd.

As the result of Crime Stopper tips, the individuals shown in surveillance video and photos were identified.

Dakota McNeal, 16, of 1401 E. 14th St., and Ralph Johnson, 15, of 141 Sanborn Drive, have each been charged with robbery with a weapon.

At 9:39 p.m. Aug. 6, the Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a robbery at the gas station. Deputies met with the clerk, who advised that a man wearing a mask entered the store and demanded money.

The clerk complied and the robber left with an undisclosed amount of currency. The man then fled the scene in an older model dark sedan.

No one was injured during the robbery.

A perimeter was established and aviation and K-9 units assisted in a search, but the man was not located.
