Riverdale Branch Library lists September activities

The Riverdale Branch Library is offering the following topics for all ages, free to the public:

Adults

- Game Club Wednesday

1 p.m. Sept. 5, 12, 19 and 26

Bring your friends, join our friends, make new friends! Play old card games, learn new ones or try chess or other board games.

Family

- Family Storytime

10 a.m. Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28

This program is for the whole family and lasts about 30 minutes. Registration is required.

- Family Day Literacy Open House

11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 22

Enjoy stories, poems, and reader's theatre featuring staff and volunteer readers. See the library for schedule of events.

Children

- Kids Read Down Fines

10-11 a.m. Sept. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29

Children and teens can earn a $2 coupon for every 15 minutes of reading, during the allotted time. A total of $8 per day may be earned. For ages 18 and younger. Coupons may be applied to cards issued to patrons age 18 and under only. Please bring your library card.

A sign language interpreter is available with five business days notice to staff. Assistive listening system available; request at desk.
