The Community Council of Lehigh Acres will hold elections for seven seats on the board. The council is made up of 41 individuals and representatives from various civic, social, industrial and government groups.
The council deals with various issues and services as an advocate for the concerns of citizens of Lehigh Acres to government agencies. As well, the council helps citizens resolve concerns and complaints dealing with problems affecting Lehigh Acres.
Jim Kreger is the current Community Council president.
To apply as a candidate, fill out an application coupon, which can be picked up at the Faith Lutheran Church, and submit it with the signatures of at least 20 Lehigh Acres residents, Kreger said.
To qualify, an applicant must have lived at least one year in Lehigh Acres.
The Community Council meetings are open to the public. The group meets on the third Monday of each month at the Lee County Sheriff's Office substation on Plaza Drive, Kreger said.

Apply by Oct. 15.
