Libertarian Party of Lee County to meet
The Libertarian Party of Lee County will meet from 7-9:30 p.m. today, Oct. 3, in the Judge Landis room of Shoeless Joe's restaurant in the Crowne Plaza at Bell Tower.
The program, a business meeting and group discussion on the topic "Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged," is at 7:45 p.m. Dinner is from 7-7:45 and it is self-pay.

Free autism screening
A free autism spectrum disorder screening will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at the East Lee County Library, at 9881 Gunnery Road, for children ages 18 months old to 4 years old.
The screening is conducted by The Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. The screenings are administered by an advanced registered nurse practitioner.
A physician referral is not required. To schedule a screening, call 343-6838.
GLACC to host annual fall Golf Tournament
The Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Golf Tournament on Oct. 6 at Majestic Golf Club.
Registration starts at 7 a.m. The shotgun start for golf is at 8 a.m. To participate as a player, the all-inclusive fee - green fee, cart and lunch - is $60. If you would like to play but do not have a foursome put together, don't worry. The chamber will team you up.

Garden Club to focus on growing herbs
The Garden Club of Lehigh Acres will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Fountain Crest, at 1230 Taylor Lane Ext.
Wendy Sprague, master gardener and president of the Alva Garden Club, is the guest speaker. She will talk about "Herb Gardening in SW Florida," followed by a discussion. Samples will be available during the monthly plant auction.

Archers registering new participants
The Lee County Archers are registering new participants. The following events take place at the Nalle Grade County Park Range in North Fort Myers:
- Oct. 18: The public is invited from 2-8 p.m. Open ranges include a 20-yard lighted covered pavilion, a 30- to 80-yard lighted outdoor range, and a 28-target field range.
- Oct. 21: 3D Archery Shoot, hosted by the Lee County Archers. A roving field range consisting of 20 3D target stations, and a 14-station N.F.A.A. field course. Sign up from 8-8:30 a.m.; shotgun start at 9 a.m. A $10 shooting fee applies.
- Nov. 4: 900 Round at 9 a.m.

General Women's Club to hold annual luncheon
The General Women's Club of Lehigh Acres will hold its annual luncheon and card party/game day from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 20 at Faith Lutheran Church, at 705 Leeland Heights Blvd.

ABWA plans show
The Lehigh Acres chapter of ABWA will host its Lights, Camera, Fashion show on Oct. 27 at the Colonial Country Club, at 9175 Independence Way, Fort Myers. It supports scholarships for Lehigh Acres residents.
Luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m. and will include a silent and Chinese auction. Fashions provided by Denimianco Boutique and Pinkies Boutique, with jewelry by Parklane. There will be celebrity look-a-likes.
