Tell Barack we’re ‘Baroke’
To the editor:
This letter has a true but sad note about our present administration’s spending of taxpayers’ money. Are Americans better off now or four years ago?
Most people have forgotten that in this world nothing is free. Every program offered by the government must be paid for by the taxpayers.
Take a look at the failed Cash for Clunkers Program and Loan Modification Program. What have they accomplished except to spend more money?
And where are all the jobs? Nationwide, jobs are hard to find even for college graduates.
Our taxes are used to support the massive giveaways to foreign nations. The war in Afghanistan just entered its 11th year of operation; costing the U.S. $1 billion per month.
The Obamacare health system will be incredibly expensive; raising taxes and cutting Medicare. Some $716 million has been taken from Medicare to fund Obamacare. Medicare will be broke by 2024.
Our country is headed for fiscal ruin unless spending is curtailed, as our national debt is in the trillions of dollars. This administration’s fiscal strategy can be summed up as “Just go get a bigger credit card.”
We need to take responsibility for our own debt and quit trying to pass it on to future generations. It won’t be long until we’ll be saying, “Tell Barack we’re Baroke.”
