The Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce will host a "Politics After Hours" on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. under a tent on the north side of the chamber office.
"This 'Meet and Greet' will be a little different than most candidate forums," said Gary Bright, chamber president and chief executive officer, said. "There will be no formal speeches. This will give the public a chance to have direct interaction with the candidates in a relaxed atmosphere."
"We have invited all of the candidates in the area that will be on the ballot on Nov. 6," he said. "We also invite the public to come and mingle with the candidates, one on one, and ask the questions that they may not want to ask in a formal question and answer format."
More than 25 candidates have indicated that they will be participating. The event is free of charge. Refreshments will be served.
