Lehigh Acres Citizen

Surveillance cameras were rolling as two men, suspected of breaking into a Lehigh Acres home, went on a shopping spree recently, reportedly using a credit card stolen during the heist.

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help identifying, and locating, the two men who Lee County deputies say may have played a role in the burglary, and later took part in making fraudulent purchases with a stolen credit card. On Oct. 22, one or more suspects broke into a home on Loretta Avenue, during a very short time frame between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. When the homeowners arrived back at their residence, they noticed a window aside their front door had been pried off, and the window busted out. Once inside the residence, the suspect(s) entered the master bedroom, stealing cash, jewelry and at least one credit card. After grabbing the goods, the burglars walked out the front door. A small amount of blood was found near the window, where one of the suspects apparently cut themselves while creeping through the broken glass.

Within hours of the burglary, it was discovered that a credit card stolen during the break-in was used at an area Wal Mart store. Surveillance photos show images of the two male persons of interest, wheeling out a cart full of items, all purchased with a stolen credit card.
