Riverdale announces programs

The roster of activities at Riverdale Branch Library offers topics for all ages. The following activities are free to the public in December:

Adults

– Game Club Wednesday

1 p.m. Dec. 5, 12 and 19

Play old card games, learn new ones or try chess and other board games.

Family

– Family Storytime

10 a.m. Dec. 7 and 14

This program is for the whole family and lasts about 30 minutes. Registration is required.

– Twist and Shout!

2 p.m. Dec. 7 and 14

Bring the family for a little after-school twistin’ and shoutin.’ Play Twister, learn to twist and dance, and sing to the oldies.

Children

– Kids Read Down Fines

10-11 a.m. Dec. 1, 8 and 15

Children and teens can earn a $2 coupon for every 15 minutes of reading, during the allotted time. A total of $8 per day may be earned. For ages 18 and younger. Coupons may be applied to cards issued to patrons age 18 and under only. Please bring your library card.

A sign language interpreter is available with fivebusiness days notice to library staff. Assistive listening system available; request at desk.
