Update: Man sought in connection with North Fort Myers burglary in custody

The third man wanted in connection to a North Fort Myers burglary is in custody.

Felix Cantalicio Garcia, 22, was booked into the Lee County Jail by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

During his apprehension, detectives were summoned to investigate items recovered at the residence, such as firearms, ammunition and bags of what appeared to be illegal narcotics.

Garcia was charged in connection with a burglary on Gardenia Circle East.

Additional charges are pending further investigation, officials said.

Bond was set at $155,000.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection to a recent grand theft of a home in North Fort Myers.

On Friday, officials at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office reported that Felix Cantalicio Garcia, 22, has an active warrant for his alleged role in the Dec. 21 armed burglary and grand theft of a residence, at 2133 Gardenia Circle E.

According to records from the Lee County Jail, Garcia was arrested two years ago and his last known address was 1103 Country Club Blvd.

Two others were arrested in connection to the incident.

On Tuesday, the LCSO’s Fugitive Warrants Unit located Marquis Lamar Kitchen, 26, of 2809 Dunbar Ave., Fort Myers, and charged him with grand theft of firearm, possession of weapon or ammo by convicted Florida felon, burglary dwelling structure or conveyance armed and probation violation.

On Dec. 29, Joseph Anthony Rivera, 24, of 1501 N.E. Eighth Place, was charged with 16 counts of grand theft of firearm and three counts of drug equipment possess and or use, along with two counts of drugs possess controlled substance without prescription.

He was also charged with one count each of marijuana possess over 20 grams, opium or derivative traffick 4 grams to under 30 kilograms, cocaine traffick 28 grams less than 150 kilograms cocaine or mixture and burglary of dwelling structure or conveyance armed.

At about 12:33 p.m. Dec. 21, deputies responded to a grand theft at the residence on Gardenia Circle East, according to authorities. The victim had a video surveillance system and captured the burglary by the men on video.

Garcia, Kitchen and Rivera reportedly made an unauthorized entry into the home and stole multiple firearms that were secured inside the residence.

A LCSO’s investigation resulted in the identification of the three men.

As of Friday, Kitchen was being held at the Lee County Jail without bond due to the violation of probation. Rivera’s bond has been set at $1,018,000.
