Lee County Animal Services plans dog training workshops
K-Nine Connections and the Animal Care Trust Fund are sponsoring two dog training workshops at the Lee County Domestic Animal Services’ shelter.
“The ABC’s of Training: Jumping, Pulling, Barking” will be held from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 17. “Puppy Training” will be held from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 24.
Preregistration is $30, or $35 on the day of the workshop. To register, call 533-9203. Half of the proceeds will benefit the Animal Care Trust Fund.
Dogs must be accompanied by a holder and must be on a non-retractable leash with a collar or harness.
The shelter is at 5600 Banner Drive in Fort Myers.
K-Nine Connections Life Centre offers products and services that enhance the quality of life for pets and strengthens the human/animal bond. Services include doggy day care, grooming, training, pet sitting and walking, and overnight care in-home or at their facility.

The Animal Care Trust Fund was established in 2002 to assist homeless, abused and neglected animals. It provides funds for direct assistance and programs to improve animal care and welfare in Lee County.
