Harry Joseph Ludwig, 96, of Lehigh Acres, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the Hope Hospice House of Lehigh Acres. He was born May 10, 1916, in Queens, N.Y.
He was a soda and then bread deliveryman in New York City and was active in establishing the union in his industry. He was married to Kaye until her death in 1992.
In 1972, Kaye and he moved to Lehigh Acres, where he worked for the Lehigh Corporation. He had a very full life in Lehigh and was active in his church, growing oranges and grapefruit, and volunteering for the police department and at the senior citizens center.
He is survived by his dear friend, Pat Grotsky; sons, William, James and Lee; grandchildren, Billy, Carl, Diane, Donna, Karen and Stacey; and several great-grandchildren.
His daughter, Elaine, predeceased him in 1999.
