The program offers an alternative treatment option designed for step-down from hospitalization, and when an individuals' needs necessitate more intensive outpatient options. It further enhances an individuals' need for continuous treatment alternatives.
"This program is especially effective in helping people with behavioral issues," Dr. Ivan Mazzorana. "They actively participate in designing a specific treatment plan with the IOP professional staff. While the focus is on group participation, the program does include individual sessions with licensed psychiatrists and social workers on our staff."
The treatment team helps the individual manage their thought process, emotions, managing distress and interpersonal relationship management.
"Park Royal Hospital's Intensive Outpatient Program is most effective with patients experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disturbance and other emotional and behavioral issues that interfere with their lives," Mazzorana said.
