Man sought in armed robbery

At approximately 9 p.m. April 17, the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about an armed robbery at Tortilleria Matamoros, at 4316 Lee Blvd.

Deputies responded to the call and met with the alleged victims.

During the preliminary investigation, deputies learned that a man entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the register. Shortly thereafter, the man fled on foot behind the store.

The man is described to be white, approximately 40-50 years old, about 5 feet 12 inches tall and 150 pounds.

He had shoulder length, light-colored hair and was wearing glasses, a baseball cap, dark-colored jacket and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.
