Lehigh business leader Eugen Borosch dies

Lehigh Acres business leader Eugen Borosch died Thursday morning in a Fort Myers hospital.

Borosch, 73, the owner of Lehigh Showcase Properties and several other business interests, suffered from a fall Wednesday morning at this home, according to Mike Welch, a close and personal friend.

Borosch was instrumental in helping many local business people with his support and was the prime mover to have the Greater Lehigh Chamber of Commerce moved to his Lehigh Towne Center. He and his wife owned several business properties in the community.

Borosch had a history of heart disease.

Originally from Germany, Borosch came to Lehigh several years ago and helped to shape the business community.

His is survived by his wife, Conchita, and one daughter and son-in-law. Donna Cavendar, a real estate agent in Lehigh, said his was “the right hand arm of the community and will be sorely missed.”
