The East County Regional Library is offering topics for all ages. The following activities are free to the public:
Adults
- Chess Anyone?
4 p.m. July 29
Rise to the chess challenge and join the fun. Chess enthusiasts of all ages are welcome. Bring a chess set or use one of ours. Sponsored by the Friends of the East County Regional Library.
- English Cafe
6 p.m. July 29

Practice your English with English Cafe, a free, conversation session for adult ESOL and ESL students. Each 90-minute session provides adult learners an opportunity to practice speaking English with native speakers. Participants may start at any time. Advanced registration is not necessary.
- Meet the Author: Don Landy
1 p.m. July 25
Landy's work "Unconditional Love - On loan from God" is a love story. More than that, it is a learning experience. This is not just another dog story. It is a fast paced romp with a few tearful moments. Follow a trip through canine parenthood and learn what so many pet owners already know - love doesn't end with death, it continues in the form of memories that last a lifetime.

Children and teens can earn a $2 coupon for every 15 minutes of reading, during the allotted time. A total of $8 per day may be earned. For ages 18 and younger. Coupons may be applied to cards issued to patrons age 18 and under only.
