The Lehigh Singers, a not-for-profit choral organization, will host its second annual Fund-raising Auction on Saturday, Sept. 28, in the Royal Palm Square, at 1400 Colonial Blvd., Suite 29-31, Fort Myers. The function will begin promptly at 7 p.m.
There will be entertainment from several vocal groups in the area, saluting the work of The Lehigh Singers.
Live auction items include an antique 10-by-13-foot Meshed rug valued at $4,500, a new 8-by-10-foot Bidjar rug valued at $4,000, several oil paintings, signed prints and several silent auction items, including a seven-day, six-night stay at a resort on the east coast of Florida, along with several golf outings.

The Lehigh Singers has been in existence since 1969, originally singing for events in Lehigh Acres, but the group is branching out and singing at venues in Fort Myers, Immokalee and LaBelle. It is open to anyone who wants to sing.
Auditions are held by calling the music director, Candace Baranowski Sundby.

She is the professor of voice and choral activity at Edison College in Fort Myers. She was a Fulbright scholar with the Stuttgart Opera for several years and a graduate of The Eastman School in Rochester, N.Y.
