Post offices in the United States Postal Service's Suncoast District will hold lobby events during Hispanic Heritage Month to help businesses learn how to use the Postal Service to grow their business.
The events will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at post offices in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Naples.
Postal employees will be on hand to explain the variety of products and services available.
Every Door Direct Mail provides an economical way for businesses to advertise to potential customers. A postage permit is not required and business owners use a convenient mapping tool to choose specific locations where they want to advertise.
EDDM is ideal for announcing sales, sending coupons and more.
During the lobby events, businesses will learn how to mail their time sensitive items using the reinvented Priority Mail that offers day specific delivery, free insurance up to $50 and improved tracking.
Informational pamphlets and brochures, in English and Spanish, will be available at the lobby events.
Customers unable to attend the events on Oct. 10 can stop by their local post office any day during normal business hours and ask to speak with the postmaster or manager to learn about the many ways the Postal Service can help their businesses grow.
Information is also available on: www.usps.com.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
