Physicians’ Primary Care welcomes new physician

Dr. Michael S. Verwest has joined the family practice of Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida in the Lehigh Acres office, at 3507 Lee Blvd.

He is accepting new patients.

Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida has several offices for family practice, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology.

Michael Verwest

Verwest has been a physician for more than 25 years, working at the Cape Coral family practice office of Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida before joining the Veterans Administration in Port Charlotte for the past five years.

He is board-certified in family practice.

He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and received his master's degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. This was followed by residency at Northwest Florida Academy of Family Physicians in Pensacola and Reading Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program in West Reading, Pa.

Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida, a physician-owned and operated medical practice, was formed in 1996 by many long practicing local physicians and has grown to become the largest independent multi-specialty primary care practice in Southwest Florida with more than 45 physicians and medical professionals.

Medical specialties include internal medicine, family practice, obstetrics, gynecology and pediatrics.

Offices are located in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Lehigh.
